Ceck Out This Power Bank: RAVPower 22,000mah External Battery Review and Order

These days, smartphone batteries don’t seem to last the day – especially with games like Pokemon Go and other heavy battery use applications and games. We reviewed RAVPower’s 20,100mAh battery pack earlier this year and our RAVPower 22,000mAh battery pack review takes a look at a slightly higher capacity external battery pack from the company.

DESIGN
Like its 20,100mAh sibling, the RAVPower 22,000mAh External Battery Pack has a simple design. Basically a black rectangular brick, the top features the RAVPower logo on the left side with 4 LED lights near the right side. The right end of the unit has the three USB-A iSmart output ports, which adjusts current and voltage to minimize charging time. The Micro-USB input charging port is near the right end on one of the longer sides, and the power button on the other longer side.

Three USB-A outputs allow you to charge multiple devices at once.

EASE OF USE
The RAVPower 22,000mAh External Battery Pack can’t be any easier to use. Simply plug your smartphone or tablet (or other device) into the USB-A output port on the battery pack and your device will start charging.

To check the remaining battery life on the battery pack, pressing the power button will display between 1 and 4 blue LED lights on the top of the unit. To recharge, plug the battery pack into a USB wall adapter through the Micro-USB port on the battery pack.

BATTERY LIFE
At 22,000mAh you’ll be able to charge your devices for days. I took this pack camping recently and managed to keep both my Nexus 6P and my wife’s Nexus 5X charged for the entire time we were camping without needing to recharge the battery pack. One thing about a pack this big though is it does take quite a while to recharge, something you’ll probably want to do overnight.

PRICE/VALUE
With an MSRP of $99.99USD, you’re getting a lot of juice. However, it’s currently available on Amazon.com for $39.99 which is a fantastic price for a power pack with three outputs that can keep your devices charged for days on end.

WRAP UP
If you like to go off the grid with your devices and keep them charged while you’re out, or if you’re looking for a battery pack to fuel your devices while catching those elusive Pokémon, the RAVPower 22,000 mAh External Battery is a great choice and value.

  1. External chargers are necessary to get connected these days. For campers like myself, it spells the difference between life and death, for that matter. Having contact with the outside world is necessary just in case something happens when you're out in the woods. It gives tremendous peace of mind to families and friends back home, too. I have a lot of gadgets so it's necessary to pick one that has a bigger charging capacity of around 22,000 mAh. By the way, here are some of the best reviews of power banks that's so useful: http://backpackingmastery.com/top-picks/the-best-power-bank-chargers.html
